Today we’re making one of my favourite healthy drinks: a Sweet Spiced Matcha Latte that’s completely vegan, refined-sugar free and tastes amazing both hot or cold. So follow this step-by-step guide, or watch my full video here!
If you’ve ever tried to sweeten your matcha with honey or sugar substitutes, you’ve probably noticed it changes the flavour. In this version, we keep it real by using dates for natural sweetness, giving you that warm, earthy flavour without losing the beautiful taste of matcha.

Origins of the Drink
Matcha has been used in Japanese tea ceremonies for centuries, prized for its high antioxidant content and gentle energy boost. This modern take combines that ancient tradition with plant-based milk and natural sweeteners, blending the best of both worlds. The touch of cinnamon and vanilla adds a comforting warmth, making this drink perfect over ice in summer or steaming hot with a cinnamon stick in winter.
Health Benefits of Matcha Latte
Packed with antioxidants from matcha and cinnamon.
Dates offer fibre and natural energy without refined sugar.
